The battle for the control of the African Union's administrative organ, the AU Commission, is set to continue when eight African Heads of State and Government meet at the capital of Benin, Cotonou, today.
During the AU's January summit in Ethiopia, continental leaders failed to elect a new chairperson for the commission. Both contenders-- the incumbent Jean Ping and South Africa's Home Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma failed to garner a majority of the votes.
