Brand South Africa welcomed the results of the 2017 Mo Ibrahim Index of African Governance which saw South Africa retain its rank of six out of fifty four countries assessed in the index. Every year the Mo Ibrahim Index of African Governance assesses the performance of all 54 African countries in categories such as human rights, the rule of law, sustainable economic opportunities and human development.
