Commonly know as the CGP, the programme is an unconditional cash transfer targeted at poor and vulnerable households. With the assistance of the United Nations children's Fund, UNICEF, providing technical support,  and financial support from the European Commission, Lesotho's government now extends this benefit to about twenty-five-thousand households from the initial ten-thousand when it was first piloted. In this week's look at health issues, we focus on Lesotho's cash transfer programme, which is said to be changing the lives of many children in that country, including those affected by HIV/AIDS.
