With August marking Women’s Month in South Africa, Channel Africa undertook the initiative to host women from various entrepreneurship disciplines in celebrating the month.
On August 9, 1956, thousands of women staged a march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to protest against proposed amendments to the act, which required African persons to carry the 'pass'. As such, the day has since been commemorated on the South African calendar to mark the historical day.
To help celebrate this year’s event, headlined Think Like a Queen, Channel Africa ran a live broadcast featuring four women entrepreneurs, moderated by our own Midday presenter, Zikhona Miso.
