South Africa’s Telecommunications and Postal Services minister, Siyabonga Cwele, says that South Africa would want to leave a legacy by hosting this year's ITU Telecom World Conference. The conference will discuss a range of issues pertaining to challenges and innovations in the ICT sector. He also mentioned that African countries have lots to benefit from this conference. On the issue of digitization in South Africa, he said that the process was on course and that a number of Set Top Boxes (STB), that decodes the signal to the appropriate viewing standard, were waiting to be collected by users at Post Offices.
