South Africa is urging other African countries to assist South Sudan to fully  implement the revitalised peace agreement that it signed in September 2018.

South Africa’s Deputy President, David Mabuza, who is also special envoy to South Sudan, travelled to Ethiopia on Monday to meet with Abiy Ahmed, Ethiopia's Prime Minister.

Ahmed is also the chair of the Inter-governmental Authority for Development that brokered the peace deal in South Sudan.
