September is officially known as Tourism Month in South Africa and locals were encouraged to get out and meet South Africa. The month focuses on the importance of tourism to the economy of South Africa. The theme for the 2015 Tourism Month “A million New Experiences are a Sho'tleft Away" presents an opportunity to highlight the economic impact of each tourist that partakes in those million experiences. September is also Heritage Month in the country and it recognises various aspects of South Africa’s culture.

This year, Tourism Month showcased Limpopo Province as a destination with its endless leisure activities.

Channel Africa’s Zanele Jambane was one of the journalists that took part in the tour and she filed this report voiced by our reporter Nhlanhla Mahlangu
