Bensouda, a Ghanaian national, has been denied permission by the Pan-African Parliament to address them on Monday, as her office persists in prosecuting Sudanese President, Omar al-Bashir for alleged crimes against humanity. She is also demanding to know why South Africa, as a signatory to the Rome Statute, did not arrest al-Bashir when he attended an African Union Summit in Johannesburg in June.
