The outbreak comes at a time when neighbouring Zambia is still battling with a cholera outbreak in Lusaka, killing nearly seventy people and has recorded more than two-thousand cases.
According to the Health Minister David Parirenyatwa, the four who died in Chegutu, one-hundred-and-seven kilometers southwest of Harare, washed the body of a colleague before burial and contracted the deadly disease. While investigations are still being done to link the cholera outbreak in Zambia and that of Zimbabwe, local councils have been urged to provide safe and adequate water to their residents.
