South Sudan's rebels say army forces violates ceasefire agreement

Date: Aug 31, 2015

South Sudan's rebels say army forces have violated the newly-signed ceasefire agreement aimed at ending a civil war in the country.

Rebel Spokesperson, Dickson Gatluak says a military convoy shelled rebel positions along the White Nile River. On Saturday, both the government troops and rebel forces traded blames for sparking fresh clashes before the ceasefire took effect. South Sudanese President, Salva Kiir signed the peace accord last week. The truce came into effect on Saturday.
