SA ruling party recalls President
South Africa’s governing party, the African National Congress (ANC), has resolved to recall State President, Jacob Zuma, after numerous attempts to convince him to step down.
The party’s Secretary General, Ace Magashule, just made the announcement during a press briefing on the President’s future, as deliberated on by the ruling party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
Magashule says in the meantime, the collective view of the NEC is for ANC President, Cyril Ramaphosa, to take over the reins.
He further says they expect Zuma to step down as requested by the NEC.
