Cyclone Idai One Month On

The World Bank has estimated that Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe will need about two-billion US dollars together to recover from the devastating impact of Cyclone Idai. Roughly1000 people were killed and lots more displaced when two major rivers, in the port city of Beira burst their banks. The cyclone then moved to parts of Zimbabwe and Malawi leaving behind a  trail of devastation. The World Bank further revealed that direct economic losses from Cyclone Idai in Mozambique will range from 650 and 800 million dollars. Meanwhile humanitarian aid from all over the world has been and continues to pour in for the three countries.
