In This Week's Programme:

  • This week on the show, we focused on a South African based Company, Euphoria Telecom has introduced tools for entrepreneurs to become digital nomads. They can now use technology to earn a living and conduct their life in a nomadic manner. We spoke to one of the entrepreneurs using the digital nomad, the Head of Operations and Technology at Khonology, Mosa Nyamande.

  • The Climate Innovation Centre South Africa (CICSA) launched in 2015 in partnership with the World Bank’s InfoDev programme, with one of the entrepreneurs that have worked with the centre Murendeni Mafumo, the Founder of Kusini Water System a solar powered mobile water purification technology.

  • Bonga Petros Masoka the co-owner and a Business Development and Marketing Manager of G-Tech, a 100% black owned operated green technology and Holding Company situated in Johannesburg South Africa.

  • The 16th BBQ Awards hosted by Big Time Strategic Group, are taking place on the 20th of October at Emperors Palace, in Johannesburg, South Africa.  Mr Justice Maphosa the Chief Executive Officer at Big Time Strategic Group and the title sponsor of the BBQ Awards shared more.

  • AfricArena 2017 is the largest-ever tech innovation conference for startups and investors to be hosted on African soil and it will take place on 6th and 7th November in Cape Town, South Africa. We spoke to Ellen Fischat the Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Cape that is anchoring AfricArena.

    Lastly, we spoke to Rapper-turned-businessman Siyabonga Metane, better known as Slikour, has given 12 emerging rap artists the opportunity to launch their music careers. Siya Metana  (Slikour) told us more about SlikourOnLife Incubator project.
  • And Gemkids’ pre-school founder and director, Devina Dawkinun who started her career as a lecturer and researcher is also the   finalist for the Tsogo Sun Entrepreneur awards.
  • Last week the third annual Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) Conference, took place in Cape Town, South Africa. Channel  Africa’s Zanele Jambane attended the conference and filed a report.
