Malatsi says the policy consideration is being done through the Draft White Paper On Audio and Audiovisual Media and Services and Online Safety. He was answering a written parliamentary question, on whether there are plans to formally regulate the podcast content under the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa given the increase of this medium of communication in the country. Malatsi says currently podcasts are not regulated under the Electronic Communications Act.
