PMSA has launched its Lesotho chapter
Project Management South Africa (PMSA) has launched its Lesotho chapter, making it the fourth in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, after those in Mozambique, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and SA.
With SA President Cyril Ramaphosa having made a commitment to place Africa’s development at the top of the country’s G20 Presidency.
The Lesotho government also say it’s tripled its capital budget since it ascended to power, which shows a clear sign of commitment to ensuring infrastructure development to stimulate economic growth.
According to Project Management SA, many projects fail to meet their intended goals, stay on time and avoid cost overrun.
Therefore, for Lesotho, the launching of this chapter in Project Management comes at an opportune time.

As SADC member states embark on regional integration, a body with a strong track record, such as PMSA, aims to ensure that its members across the region meet the requisite professional standards.

The PMSA’s core objectives are to build professional capacity through training, certification and continuous development, while contributing to socio-economic development by applying project management skills to community, business and government initiatives.
