Thousands of fans filled the streets of Rabat, Morocco on Wednesday to celebrate the national Under-20 team’s historic World Cup victory.

The celebrations began at the royal palace, where Crown Prince Moulay Hassan hosted a ceremony in honour of the young champions. The team was later paraded through the streets of Rabat on an open-top bus, greeted by jubilant fans waving flags and blowing vuvuzelas.
The victory has been hailed across the region as a defining moment for African and Arab football.
