Zimbabwe’s ruling party ZANU-PF to extend Mnangagwa’s term

Zimbabwe’s ruling party ZANU-PF Spokesperson Christopher Mutsvangwa says President Emmerson Mnangagwa has done excellent job for the country so far.

He says more than 4000 delegates attended the party conference last week and they all agree to give Mnangagwa another chance to lead the people of Zimbabwe.

However there’s been mixed reactions to the resolution by the ZANU-PF to extend Mnangagwa’s term of office.

Constitutionally, the 83-year-old leader is required to leave office in 2028 after serving two elected terms.

This move has drawn some controversy from some opposition leaders who have vowed to defend the constitution.
