South Africa have secured their place in next year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations football tournament in Morocco.
Banyana Banyana beat the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) 1-0 in their second leg qualifier at the Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Tuesday night.
Mexico-based striker, Thembi Kgatlana, celebrated her return to the side by scoring the winner in stoppage time.
It was an individual effort after she dispossessed a defender before finishing off.
Kgatlana missed the Africa Cup of Nations in June due to personal reasons.
The two teams had played to a 1-all draw in last week’s first leg in Kinshasa.
