The 31-year-old is accused of murdering her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee Meek, at their Fleurhof home earlier this year. She also faces a charge of obstructing and defeating the ends of justice.

The boy’s bruised body was found on the staircase of the complex where he lived with his mother, who was later arrested for his murder. Meek, who was denied bail, maintains her innocence. The case was previously postponed to allow for the finalisation of the indictment before being transferred to the High Court.
