South Africa’s (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa has warned that conflicts worldwide are dividing societies and causing untold destruction.

He made the remarks during his first official meeting with Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican.

Ramaphosa said he discussed pressing global challenges with the Pontiff, including the upcoming G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg later this month, emphasising the need for co-operation, peace, and shared responsibility to address humanity’s crises.
