Springbok Assistant Coach Tony Brown says South Africa will not underestimate Italy when the two sides meet at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Saturday.
Brown praised Italy’s recent form, noting their 26-19 victory over Australia last weekend as proof of the team’s growing strength.
“The whole team today has moved on to Italy. If you’ve watched Italy play Australia, you know that they’re going to be a tough team, a tough challenge for us. They are very passionate at home, much like the French, so we’ve got to make sure we prepare as well as we can and tick every box like we did against France,” he said.
The Springboks, who extended their lead over New Zealand in the world rankings, are expecting a fierce contest as they face the tenth-ranked Azzurri in front of their home fans.
