Namibia’s national rugby team must defeat Samoa in their next match on Thursday and hope for a Samoa victory over Belgium on November 18 to secure a place in the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Namibia suffered a 22-15 defeat to Belgium in their opening match at the final World Cup Qualifier in Dubai over the weekend. Meanwhile, Samoa recorded a commanding 48-10 win over Brazil, putting both Belgium and Samoa in a strong position for the final qualification spot.

With the odds stacked against them, Namibia now relies on favourable results in other matches to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
