As China’s third national stock exchange dedicated to serving innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the BSE has become a key pillar of the country’s multi-tier capital market system.
Among the companies listed on the BSE, more than 80% of are SMEs, and over half are nationally recognised “Little Giant” firms that use specialised and sophisticated technologies to produce unique and novel products. Experts say institutional innovations at the BSE have lowered listing thresholds and costs for high-quality SMEs, providing them with a faster and more inclusive path for financing and development.
