South Africa (SA) continues to experience water scarcity and with millions are still without constant clean water supply.
There’s hope the G20 Summit will look at the investment into water infrastructure.
The Gert Sibande District Municipality is building the first of kind of a dam in Amsterdam, Mpumalanga Province.
The over millions of Rand project started in April 2023 but the country continues to face a severe water crisis.
This is exacerbated by climate change, aging infrastructure, population and water mismanagement.
Residents hope the G20 Summit will agree on investment on water infrastructure and sustainability.
