The G20 Summit

Chinese President Xi Jinping will not join the G20 Summit in South Africa (SA) this weekend.

The experts are saying this is due to him prioritising domestic issues.

A pattern emerging over the past year of him sending delegates instead.

China’s second highest ranked official Premier Li Qiang is representing China at the G20 in Johannesburg , Gauteng Province.

Beijing has not given an official reason as to whyJingping is not attending, but experts point to his age, he is in his 70’s, as one factor why he has not travelled as much compared with before the Covid-19 pandemic.
