Clarity on the circumstances surrounding the controversial arrival of a plane carrying Palestinians
South Africa’s (SA) Border Management Authority (BMA) has clarified the circumstances surrounding the controversial arrival of a plane carrying Palestinian passengers at OR Tambo International Airport in November 13.
Speaking on the sidelines of the BMA’s 2nd Annual Conference and Expo in Pretoria, Gauteng Province, Commissioner Michael Masiapato said the travellers underwent full health and immigration processing upon landing.
While all were cleared on health grounds, he confirmed they did not meet the required immigration protocols.
This resulting in their denied entry into the country.
