Namibia will take part for the third consecutive year in the Confederation of African Football African (CAF) Schools Football Championship, Council of Southern Africa Football Associations Qualifier, scheduled to take place in Stellenbosch, South Africa (SA), in the Western Cape Province from December 5 to 7 ,2025.
Namibia hosted the competition in 2024.
Despite being hosts last year, Namibia did not advance past the pool stages in either the Boys’ or Girls’ competitions. Their strongest performance remains in 2023, when both teams finished in fourth place.
The Namibian teams first competed in the zonal qualifiers two years ago in Harare, Zimbabwe, having not taken part in the inaugural tournament held in Malawi. In Harare, the Boys’ team was awarded a walkover win against Zambia, followed by victories over Madagascar (2–0) and Angola (1–0), and a narrow 2–1 loss to SA. These results led to a bronze-medal match against hosts Zimbabwe, but Namibia was narrowly defeated 1–0.
The draw for this year’s 11-team tournament will be conducted a few days before the competition begins.
