Namibia and Indonesia have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cultural diplomacy

Namibia and Indonesia have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cultural diplomacy and building closer ties between their citizens.

The renewed pledge was made during a musical and cultural festival held in Windhoek, Namibia, under the theme “Unity in Diversity: Cultural Harmony of Indonesia and Namibia.”

Namibia’s Vice President, Lucia Witbooi, said cultural exchange remains a powerful tool for strengthening relations between nations, noting that partnerships rooted in arts, music and heritage help foster deeper understanding across continents.

Witbooi pointed out that Namibia values Indonesia as a long-standing partner and sees cultural cooperation as an important pillar in broadening collaboration in education, trade and tourism.

Indonesian officials at the event echoed the sentiment, saying the festival reflects Indonesia’s commitment to enhancing people-to-people connections in Africa.
