Team South Africa (SA) returned home with six medals after an impressive showing at the Strongest Athletes Swimming Cup in Minsk, Belarus. The four-member squad delivered a series of personal bests during the four-day short-course competition.
Scarlett le Roux claimed silver in the 800-metre freestyle and bronze in the 400-metre event, both in career-best times. She narrowly missed out on a podium finish in the 200-metre freestyle.
Matthew Caldwell added three bronze medals in the 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle, breaking the 15-minute barrier in the longest race. He also reached the finals of the 200 individual medley and the 100 freestyle.
