Former South African (SA) Revenue Services Commissioner, Oupa Magashula has died after a long illness and an extended period in hospital
His death was announced in a statement released by his family on Wednesday evening. He was 63.
Family Spokesperson, Thebe Ikalafeng says Magashula served SA with distinction in both the private and public sectors.
“He also served in senior roles at Telkom and SA Breweries, and later as Commissioner of SA Revenue Services. He will be remembered for humility, warmth and unwavering commitment to SA and its people. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, colleague and friend. Oupa had been dealing with many health issues including a stroke, he also suffered several cardiac arrests,” he said.
