The Tunisian Embassy in Pretoria says economic diplomacy is driving closer business ties between Tunisia and South Africa (SA).

Speaking at a year-end networking event this Tuesday, Ambassador Karima Bardoui highlighted a year of growing trade links and initiatives to showcase Tunisian products across the country.

“This year, our economic diplomacy took centre stage,” Bardoui said. “We worked hand in hand with SA partners to showcase Tunisian products, to connect our companies and explore opportunities from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Whether it was supporting exporters, facilitating business-to-business meetings, or spotlighting Tunisia at business fairs, our message remained simple. Tunisia is open, Tunisia is dynamic, and ready for business with SA.”

Bardoui reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to fostering partnerships with SA businesses and strengthening bilateral economic relations in the year ahead.
