Traffic volumes are expected to rise

South Africa’s (SA) traffic volumes are expected to rise as holidaymakers hit the road for the festive season.

Law enforcement agencies will launch a major operation along the Mooi River Toll Plaza on the N3 to curb road crashes.

Deputy Transport Minister Mkhuleko Hlengwa says 800 National Traffic Police officers will be deployed nationwide to ensure safety.

He’s urging motorists to obey the rules and avoid distractions especially those creating content while driving.

The campaign aims to reduce fatalities and promote compliance during the busy holiday period.
