SA Presidency reports modest Gross Domestic Product growth of 0.5%

South Africa’s (SA) Presidency has reported positive economic developments, highlighting a stronger Rand, a modest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of 0.5% in the third quarter, and a decrease in unemployment to 31.9%, driven by job creation in the construction sector

This was communicated by Presidential Spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya as the year concludes.

“The Rand its holding its own  against ,major currencies  it has breached the level of 17 rands  to the us dollar GDP grew by 0.5% in the third quarter  meaning that the economy is expanding  and much remains in the pipelines to achieve  higher growth rate this centrality is to attain the countries aspirational development,” he said.
