The Zimbabwe Warriors have arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament which kicks off on Sunday.

The Warriors have been drawn in Group B with Bafana Bafana, Egypt and Angola.

The two neighbours clash in their last group match of the tournament on December 29.

Their last encounter was two months ago, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban, where the match ended in a one-all-draw.

The squad departed Harare on Tuesday evening, making a scheduled stopover in Qatar before continuing to Casablanca, in Morocco.

That’s where they’ll complete their preparations ahead of their Group B opener against Egypt on Monday.

The Warriors who have qualified for the AFCON tournament on six occasions, will have a difficult task against the Pharaohs who are seven-time champions.
