G20 Sherpa meeting was a success: US

The US says it launched working groups to develop concrete deliverables for each of the themes.
The United States (US) says it convened a successful G20 Sherpa meeting in Washington earlier this week, attended by all G20 member states except South Africa (SA)
.
In a statement, the US indicated that Poland also participated as the only full guest participant.
SA has criticized its exclusion by the US as contrary to the principles of multilateralism and confirmed that it did not require an invitation to participate as a full and founding member of the bloc.
It’s unclear if and how SA’s exclusion from this week’s Sherpa meeting was addressed by other member states present in Washington but Pretoria had earlier signaled that it had encouraged members to express their own views on its unilateral exclusion.
Speaking to this week’s Sherpa meeting, the statement says the US reiterated its core thematic priorities which include unleashing economic prosperity by limiting regulatory burdens, unlocking reliable and affordable energy options and pioneering news technologies.
