Some Malawian nationals who were travelling in an overloaded bus are still stranded in Polokwane, in South Africa’s (SA) Limpopo Province.
This happens a day after traffic officials impounded the 65 seater carrying 117 people on the N1 in Polokwane and arrested the driver.
The passengers included 15 minors were travelling from Gauteng Province to Malawi.
Stranded passengers Elastin Khamanga: “We are stranded here we didn’t eat since morning till now we are trying to push the owner of the bus but he is just saying just wait.
All this people are suffering and we are waiting for them to release us, so far police have already released us so that we can go but this bus is not road worthy for long distance.”
