Nigeria will begin their quest for a fourth Africa Cup of Nations title this Tuesday when the Super Eagles take on Tanzania at the Fez Stadium in Fez, Morocco.
The West African giants head into the continental showpiece looking to bounce back from disappointment in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Nigeria fell to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the final of the African play-offs, missing out on the FIFA Play-Off Tournament and a second consecutive World Cup appearance.
Despite the setback, the Super Eagles will be aiming to reassert themselves on the continental stage as they target a fourth AFCON crown.
Tanzania, meanwhile, are making their fourth appearance at the Africa Cup of Nations and will be hoping to make history by advancing beyond the group stage for the first time.
The match is set to kick off Nigeria’s Group-stage campaign as both sides look to make a strong start to their AFCON journey in Morocco.
