National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) Acting Board Chairperson Doctor Mugwena Maluleke has called on South Africa’s (SA) universities to upload their 2026 admission lists to the NSFAS portal as soon as possible.
Maluleke says early submissions will enable NSFAS to begin the student validation process and fast‑track funding eligibility assessments.
He also confirmed that the 2026 funding list has already been released and is available for universities to access.
Maluleke was briefing the media on NSFAS’s readiness for the 2026 academic year, outlining key support measures for students registering at universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training colleges across the country.
