SA’s former acting police commissioner to take corruption probe hot seat

South Africa’s (SA) Former Acting National Police Commissioner, Khomotso Phahlane will be the first witness this year to testify before the Ad Hoc Committee probing national security concerns today
The Committee is investigating allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the criminal justice system made by KwaZulu Natal Province Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. Phahlane served in an acting capacity from 2015 to 2017, before being suspended on misconduct allegations dating back to 2009.
