India has officially taken over the Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) Presidency for 2026, unveiling a new logo & theme aimed at positioning the bloc as a stronger voice for emerging economies.
The branding was launched on Tuesday by Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who highlighted India’s priorities for the year: resilience, innovation, cooperation & sustainability.
Jaishankar said the agenda will focus on deepening collaboration among BRICS nations, boosting economic growth, and tackling shared global challenges.
Ishan Garg reports from New Delhi that the new logo reflects India’s vision of a united, forward-looking BRICS, signalling the bloc’s ambition to play a bigger role in global decision-making.
