The city of Ekurhuleni South Africa’s (SA) province has confirmed that Mayoral Executive for Roads and Transport, Andile Mngewu and his fellow travelers are missing in Mozambique after the vehicle they were travelling in was swept away by flood waters.

Members of the SA National Defense Force (SANDF) alongside their Mozambican counterparts are searching for Mngewu and his other parties in his vehicle. It is not yet clear whether they are still alive and if they have been able to get out of the vehicle. The family has gone over to Mozambique to help locate the him.
