South African (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa says he will not be attending this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
This is citing his involvement in preparations for the African National Congress Lekgotla, the Cabinet Lekgotla, and the upcoming State of the Nation Address.
Ramaphosa says, despite his absence, SA is well represented at the global economic gathering.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the Basic Education Sector Lekgotla in Boksburg, Gauteng Province.
