Report on the discovery of alleged ballot papers from ANC’s regional conference

South Africa (SA) and African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa told the SA Broadcasting Corporation that he’s waiting for a detailed report on the discovery of alleged ballot papers from the party’s regional conference in Johannesburg.

Ballot boxes were found in a house in Pretoria, Gauteng Province

The police and the party received complaints that the conference was rigged.

Complaints were also raised with the Gauteng Provincial Task Team Co-ordinator, Hope Papo, from former regional Chairperson, Dada Morero, concerning conflicts of Interest and Procedural Violations by the Election Agency.

Meanwhile, in his closing address on the last day of the Lekgotla, Ramaphosa warned that incompetence on the part of ANC deployees would be dealt with.

Ballot papers believed to be from the ANC’s regional conference that took place in December 2025.
