They also say that a wall will help ease workload on law enforcement officers manning the porous borderline. Incidents of confrontation between SA Defence Force members and suspected smugglers are often reported along the borderline. Madimbo Business Forum Spokesperson, Philemon Munyai says soldiers should be fully resourced and also want a wall to be erected on the borderline.

“The problem that we are facing here at Madimbo, Malale, Masisi is the problem that those foreign nationals who crossed Limpopo river illegally so they continue doing crime here, we request the government to make a permanent solution by building the wall, to refrain them to come here simply so because some of them they are criminals and some of them they are coming here with lots of weapons,” he said.
