South African (SA) discount retailer, Pepkor Holdings reported a 12.9 %  rise in first-quarter revenue to $1.9 billion driven by acquisitions and growth in its core clothing brand PEP, alongside demand for tech products
Group sales increased by 10. 6% percent in the festive season trading quarter ended December 31 compared to the same period in 2024, with a 5.2|% rise when excluding acquisitions. Like-for-like sales rose by 3%. The clothing and general merchandise segment saw a 10.3% sales increase, while furniture, appliances, and electronics grew by 13.7%. The financial services business experienced a remarkable 4.6% revenue increase, attributed to high demand for insurance and retail credit.
