South Africa’s (SA) Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Parks Tau is leading the SA delegation to the Joint Economic Trade Commission in Beijing, China, alongside his counterpart, Minister Wang Wentao.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral trade ties and promoting closer economic co-operation between SA and China.
The ministers have signed the China–Africa Economic Partnership Agreement, a landmark deal set to grant SA exports duty-free access to the Chinese market while boosting investment into SA’s economy.
