South Africans are expecting President Cyril Ramaphosa to outline clear plans to tackle the country’s most pressing challenges, in his State of the Nations Adress, on Thursday night.
Among the key issues citizens want addressed are high unemployment, ongoing load shedding and persistent water shortages, as well as broader concerns around poor service delivery.
Many will also be listening for concrete interventions to address climate change, following devastating floods and droughts that have affected provinces including Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal Province.
