South African (SA) soccer team, Bafana Bafana will face Panama in two international friendly matches to be played in SA in March as part of SA national team’s preparations for the 2026 International Association Football Federation (FIFA) World Cup.
The matches will be staged between March 27 and 31, 2026.
Panama, currently ranked 33 in the world, were considered to provide high-quality opposition.
At the World Cup, SA will be in Group A, where they will be against Mexico, South Korea, and the winner of Union of European Football Associations, payoff D, which comprises the Czech Republic, Republic of Ireland, Denmark or North Macedonia.
The FIFA World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico from June 11 and July 19, 2026.
Venues, kick-off times and ticketing information about the international friendly matches will be communicated in the coming days.
