Liverpool Manager Arne Slot expressed his disappointment following his team’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City.

“Not a great game for Liverpool,” Slot said. “We have seen similar matches over the past few years, and this was one of them. We are disappointed with the result.”

Slot noted that Man City were more comfortable on the ball and controlled much of the game, although they did not create many clear chances. “The second half was different. I was waiting for the equaliser and when we got it, I was hoping for the second,” he added.

The loss leaves Liverpool needing to regroup quickly as they look ahead to their next fixtures in a tightly contested season.
