Confederation of African Football (CAF) 2025/26 group stage concludes this weekend, with four of the eight quarter-final places yet to be decided. The top two teams in each group will move on to the knockout stage.
In Group A, the two qualifiers are already known, but the contest for first place continues. USM Alger lead the standings on 13 points with a +5 goal difference and will host Morocco’s Olympic Safi, who are one point behind on 12 (+3). The outcome of this match will determine who finishes top of the group.
In Group B, three-time champions Wydad Casablanca sit first on 12 points (+5) and host Tanzania’s Azam FC (9 points, +0). A draw would be enough for Wydad to secure first place.
At the same time, AS Maniema Union from Democratic Republic of Congo, also on nine points (+2), are expected to push for a win against already eliminated Nairobi United (0 points, -7) in Lubumbashi. The results in this group will decide the final standings and which teams will progress.
